Many people look forward to their morning coffee. It gives us the boost to catapult us into the morning. But what if that’s not enough? What if you crave more? How about opening your own little caravan to sell caffeine to the masses?

In Coffee Caravan, caffeinate the masses one cup at a time in this line-management roguelite game. Serving coffee can be frantic as customers queue up and eagerly wait for their favourite brew while you are juggling tasks such as washing cups, grinding beans and serving java.

Customers aren’t the most patient bunch, so the setup is important. The button configurations are easy to master, although the production line takes finesse and skill. Arranging your setup is an essential way to make your coffee-making skills efficient. Where you place the beans and the grinder are crucial! (I learnt the hard way).

Progression uses coffee credits to supply your caravan with new furniture, machines, and cups. All your investments will improve efficiency and enhance the quality of your coffee. Once you have enough credits, you can choose new recipes and experiment with other flavours.

Failing a customer not only hurts your ego but also ends your run, sending you right back to the start. But you get to keep your progression and appliances, so each run benefits from your previous purchases. Ultimately, your long-term victories will depend on how well you arrange your shop, what equipment you use, whether you can manage your finances, and if you can stay ahead of the customers’ expectations for new recipes.

Coffee Caravan has a nice, laid-back style with stylised graphics and a smooth jazz soundtrack to help soften what a frantic experience this can become. There are many excellent line management games out there and quite a few coffee shop management games as well. But Coffee Caravan offers an exciting combination of the two worlds, with some roguelite features to spice things up.
