It's not AIIG's policy to cover released games (not yet!). But we played the Fabledom demo in March and really wanted to highlight it. So, even though this city builder entered Early Access last week, we still wanted to highlight what we experienced in the demo.
Fabledom is an enchanting kingdom builder: you rule your realm as a prince or princess, buying new territory as you meet specific milestones. To get there, design and manage a village to employ your growing population and stockpile for the different seasons. And when you have a chance, flirt with some neighbouring royalty for hopefully a future relationship. Neighbouring kingdoms might want to get closer to you for love and power. But above all, keep your villagers going and happy if you want to go down history as the people's monarch.

AIIG's Take: We know—scarcely two weeks ago, we featured another city builder meets relationship sim. But Fabledom is much more of a classic city designer, with the relationship elements playing a far smaller role. Still, this mix makes the game stand out in the genre, plus the art, animations and interface are so nice to look at.
If anything swayed us to feature Fabledom, it's the game's incredible amount of polish. The art is detailed and fun to watch, the controls and game mechanics are solid, and the game's narrator is very entertaining. It's again an example of a small indie studio making a very high-quality game, and the hour spent with the demo was just not enough!
