The year is closing fast with only December left! After the whirlwind past few months, December has a notable slowdown in new game releases. But there are still a lot of good titles that deserve a little attention.
Here are ten games releasing throughout December, just in time for you to drop hints to anyone buying gifts.
Note: Release dates are subject to change.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age (03 December)
Genre: VS Combat
If you enjoy 1v1 fighting games but feel that it would be a lot more interesting if there were four characters fighting each other, strap up for Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age, a bold addition to the genre. Four players attack and parry simultaneously in this 2v2 Steampunk-themed fighting game. The energy is intense, reminiscent of classic 2D fighting games, but now with that added insanity of brawler games.

Entropy Survivors (04 December)
Genre: Survivor/Bullet-Heaven
Entropy Survivors has been stoking a lot of excitement among fans of survivors/bullet heaven games. A space frog and sword-wielding mech join forces to battle hordes of enemies as they try to overrun and outgun our heroes. Unleash a dizzying variety of weapons against your opponents, including some truly ridiculous power moves (giant falling shoes, anyone?). Play solo or join forces in 2-4 player coop.

The Edge of Allegoria (04 December)
Genre: GBA-style RPG
It's always interesting when a 'retro' game takes us back to a bygone era in gaming but adds some new twists. The Edge of Allegoria is a throwback to classic handheld consoles like the GameBoy, a turn-based RPG that will excite the inner child of older gamers and introduce new players to this style of gameplay. Featuring a wide variety of enemies, loot, and items, get ready to explore a vast world to uncover an epic story. But be warned—this game is for mature audiences!

Symphonia (05 December)
Genre: Precision Platformer
The music of the creators fell silent a long time ago, and their orchestras are scattered, leaving the world to crumble into ruins. But a chance discovery of a mask summons a new hero who can bring back the music. Symphonia is as intricate and masterful as the era it emulates. It's a visual feast with amazing backgrounds and animations, and a pitch-perfect precision platformer with responsive controls and inventive but challenging obstacles.

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island (05 December)
Genre: Sandbox Adventure
Alex's backpacking adventure goes awry when she shipwrecks on the mysterious island of Ambrosia, a place where the ancient Greek gods live. But they've lost their memories, so Alex must help them by exploring the island and uncovering clues and secrets in this sandbox adventure. Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island looks very entertaining, from the whimsical art and animations to the striking locations. Explore the island as you please, figuring out puzzles and finding useful objects that will help you as you befriend the deities and help them help you get home.

Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop (05 December)
Genre: Mini-game Roguelike
Play as Wilbur the mechanic, trying to make a living by fixing spaceships. From topping up gas to complete overhauls, he's staying busy. Help Wilbur complete his tasks in elaborate mini-games and make sure he upgrades his equipment, learns new skills, and wins over customers. Otherwise, he won't earn enough to make his R.E.N.T. payments, which means game over. That sounds bleak, but Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop is a wacky satire where you'll be too busy disarming bombs and summoning dark gods to worry about socio-economic conditions.

Go Home Annie (10 December)
Genre: Story-Driven Horror
Horror games have become very terrifying, and Go Home Annie has something to prove. But judging by the trailer, it's done its homework. Steeped in SCP lore (a crowdsourced internet genre comparable to the Backrooms phenomenon), your job is to interact with supernatural events and strange anomalies to learn about them and make the world a safer place. Yet, there's something else going on, and you'll need to explore mind-bending dark corners and take on blood-chilling events to get to the truth.

Urban Strife (10 December)
Genre: Post-Apocalyptic RPG
Yes, it's another zombie-themed, squad management role-playing game (RPG) in a simulated world. But considering the general quality of this sub-genre, that's not a bad thing. Urban Strife looks like a solid addition to this mob. Survive the apocalypse by recruiting people to your fledgling colony, then head out to face the undead in turn-based action and scavenge materials to keep your prospects up. Build alliances with other groups, scour the world for gear and food, and keep yourself alive.

The Spirit of the Samurai (12 December)
Genre: Combat Side-Scroller
An evil spirit and its army of monsters are destroying villages and corrupting the feudal Japanese countryside. Play as a resurrected samurai named Takeshi and his two companions, battling the invaders with a slick combo-based battle system. The Spirit of the Samurai is a great-looking addition to side-scrolling' Metroidvania' games, but adds a special touch with incredible stop-motion art captured in hand-crafted animations. It looks truly epic and stands apart even in a genre with some of the best games currently available.

FOUNTAINS (20 December)
Genre: Action RPG
It just wouldn't be an AIIG release roundup without a game featuring stunning pixel art. Exiled by a tyrannical kingdom, the hero of FOUNTAINS embarks on a quest to find the fountain of youth. But it won't be easy, facing off against enemies and bosses in tight combat that will require mastery to reach victory. Explore the vast interconnected world of this isometric combat game to find new areas, items that will help you, and allies who might be of assistance.

Another one of those too many games to play and/or review this month. Dang it!
I forgot about Go Home Annie! I also forgot to wishlist it the first time I saw it. Thank you, because I keep looking for good SCP games.
