What can we say about a dog with a stick? The bigger the stick, the better, and no self-respecting canine will leave without their new wooden companion. But the world is full of pesky obstacles conspiring to block the way of dogs and their considerably wider loads. Dogs and their sticks versus the physical world is virtually a Youtube genre, and now it’s a puzzle game too.
Take charge of Stick To The Plan’s pint-sized Roberto as he tries to move his stick to the other side of each level. Providing you have the room, you can rotate the stick and grab it in different places, combining these actions to solve each level. The final game will feature 60+ levels across four environments, as we help Roberto the dog find the perfect (and biggest) stick.

AIIG's Take: Stick To The Plan is a classic puzzle game where you can chew through a bunch of levels at a go, facing increasingly demanding puzzles that challenge your lateral thinking. The environment grows more and more complicated; in the demo, you soon pass the stick through fences and drain covers teleport you around. And every time Roberto finds a different stick, the difficulty level changes as well. Yet this game is super relaxing and it’s fun to mess around, trying different things to make progress (and aided by the undo button).
This puzzler first came to life at the Thinky Games are for Everyone jam, and you can still play the original build in your browser for free. But this demo version is for the forthcoming and more ambitious Steam version. Stick To The Plan has a lot of personality and the addictive qualities that make great puzzle games. Let’s hope Roberto has his day when Stick To The Plan is released, hopefully later this year.
